Mira Mesa Baseball Complex Project

With the support of the community, baseball boosters, and a lot of hard work by the coaching staff we have been able to turn our baseball facility from one of the worst in the county to one of the finest in the city. Mira Mesa’s baseball field has one of the most well-manicured playing surfaces around and is taken care of year round by the coaching staff. Improvements in the last 4 years have included:

  • Concrete poured in fan section and clubhouse
  • Pavers laid in fan section and home side dugout
  • Announcing booth built
  • Snack bar purchased
  • Turf added on home side dugout
  • Hitting stations built
  • Home bullpen fenced in and screened
  • Batting cage screened in
  • Rocks poured down entire street fence to eliminate weeds
  • Fence added and screened down left field line
  • Visitors bullpen built
  • New bleachers brought in
  • Rubber placed in home dugout
  • Player cubbies built in home dugout
  • dugout fences lowered and capped
  • Infield mower purchased
  • Drinking fountain moved and placed by home dugout

While these improvements have drastically changed our facility, there are still several things that need to be done to complete our baseball complex. As a program, we want our players to have the same advantages that everyone else does. Below are the improvements that we still need to get accomplished:

  • Permanent fence all the way around outfield and screened in
  • Scoreboard (we are one of the only schools in the county without one)
  • Permanent foul poles
  • Second batting cage added down left field line with concrete poured
  • Hitting stations moved
  • Paver and turf in home bullpen
  • Visitors bullpen fenced in, pavered, and turfed
  • Both home and visitors bullpen pour concrete borders
  • Laser level infield
  • Drywall, paint, put flooring in announcing booth
  • New chairs and build table in announcing booth

We at Mira Mesa want to represent our community in a professional and positive way both on and off the field. We want our young men to take pride in their facility and it is essential that we have the support from businesses and individuals in the community to help us finish the remainder of our needed improvements.
